14. PLANTING
OUTDOORS
Outdoor
growing has some advantages, such as:
-
No electricity bills.
-
Difficult for police to
catch you when guerrilla farming is used (see chapter
15).
-
Sunlight makes plants grow
very robust.
-
Also the lower parts of the
plants will develop great.
Disadvantages
of growing outdoors:
-
Animals eating your crop,
like rabbits and snails.
-
All kind of bugs will
inhabit them.
-
Wind and rain will attack
your little friends.
Some
tips:
-
When planting your seeds or
clones, make sure that something is used that kills the
snails in the area, because they really seem to have an
appetite for marijuana.
-
Always plant on the most
sunny spot.
-
Make sure the soil is
fertile enough, when planting use for instance cow or
horse dung.
-
Check up on a regular base.
-
Use a plant that is suitable
for outdoors growing in your area. Too often I see bad
results, like rotten or undeveloped buds, because of the
use of an unsuitable strain.
-
Be aware that some plants
can grow up to 2.5 meters high when planted in the
beginning of Spring.
-
When using a plant like
LOWRYDER the whole cycle will only take nine weeks in
any season, from seed till harvest ready plant.
-
Make
sure there are no male plants in the area that can ruin
your crop completely.
