16. SOIL GROWING

Some people really prefer growing on soil because it seems to be so easy while others like it because they love the idea their weed is grown completely naturally, with only the use of a little cow or horse manure.

But growing on soil is not that easy, if fertilized soil is used extra food needs to be given after about four weeks anyway. For this purpose can be used any food, think of a little: cow manure, horse manure or any plant food that can be purchased in a flower shop. If no food is given the leaves will slowly turn yellow. In some countries it is possible to buy especially developed cannabis plant food, but in my opinion this will not give anything extra.

Another problem that can occur while growing on soil is rotting of the roots, so make sure water will be drained. Also in case of rotten roots the leaves will turn yellow.

Furthermore, it is important to know that plant size on soil is directly related to pot size. If you want the plant to grow bigger, put it in a bigger pot. Usually, 1 liter per 20 centimeters of plant is sufficient. A two meter plant would require a minimum of a 10 liter pot. Remember, square containers have more volume in a square space. Planting in the ground is always preferable when growing on soil. The plants can grow to any size, unlimited by pot size.
