41. GIVING
WATER WHILE GROWING ON EARTH
The number of
times water needs to be given depends on the size of the
pot, size of the plant, humidity, hours of light and
temperature. When the plant is small while the pot is
big, once every three days often is enough. But, with a
big plant in a small pot, it could easy be that water
needs to be given twice a day.
By
the weight of the pot it is easy to determine if the
plant needs water. A pot with dry soil will almost weigh
nothing. Make also sure the drainage is in order by
using a pot with holes in the bottom and by using soil
that is not too compact, like the special mix that can
be bought in the growshop or otherwise use a soil that
is especially made for pots. This prevents the leaves
from coloring yellow.
